Waiting On The World To Change
36-city voice/AI tour kicks off with sold-out San Jose gathering next week; Voicebot interview now live
It's hard to beat the system, when we're standing at a distance.
So we keep waiting - waiting! - waiting on the world to change.
As I’ve discussed multiple times here in This Week In Voice VIP, I will hit the road beginning next week for Project Voice: Coast to Coast.
Attendees will receive an exclusive printed copy of 2021’s 50 Voice/AI Companies To Watch, a Project Voice Media Group publication which will be exclusive to this tour. Each of the 36 dates, I’ll choose 10 particular companies to highlight and discuss, based on attendees present.
The venues are all restaurants with heated outdoor seating. It is well understood one of any number of issues could prevent our first-choice restaurant from hosting us, and therefore registered attendees (in Eventbrite) will be notified of any changes in advance. These changes, as they occur, may or may not be made public.
We won’t be eating together during the gathering, but attendees are encouraged to patronize these restaurants. Many, such as the Pineapple Hill Saloon and Grill in Los Angeles, made famous for this recent emotional video which went viral, have struggled to survive.
The tour itself leads up to Project Voice 2021 - the #1 event for voice tech and AI in America - heralding the return of the in-person conference.
The how and the why of Project Voice: Coast to Coast, as well as some thoughts on the return of in-person events in 2021, are fully explored in my interview with Voicebot’s Bret Kinsella which published earlier today.
Each of the next 36 publications of this newsletter will be from the 36 cities listed below, dispatches containing interviews, news, and other commentary from the road.
If you want to join us, we’d love to see you out there.
If you’re comfortable at home, then maybe another time.
Happy new year to you, either way.
